Fall Clothing Haul.

I have been really trying to up my clothing game lately, I feel like I have a bunch of summer clothes and nothing suitable for the colder months. So when payday came around I thought I would purchase a some things and these are a few of my favourites, and just a little taste of what I bought.

First of all, I own one pair of jeans, which is totally ludicrous. I ended up throwing a lot of my clothes away when I was travelling around America as my case became far to heavy to carry, which meant the clothes suitable for colder weather all went in the bin. So I thought It was probably time to buy another pair of jeans. I picked this pair up from Primark, I actually like the jeans they sell and they have a fairly big variety of styles, they even do petite! which is great for me and my miniature legs haha. These jeans are really soft and light, which makes them more comfortable to wear, and they only cost around £10.

The next thing I also purchased from Primark, and that is the bag. My last bag basically broke so I needed to buy a new one. I spotted this bag and just fell in love. It has a fake leather and suede effect, with a long adjustable strap. It is the perfect size for me to hold all my junk in and it looks very clean and smart. This also only cost around £11 odd, which is a barging.

The next two purchases are from H&M, I love the jumpers they sell and they are always a reasonable price. I saw this salt and pepper style jumper from the other side of the store and did a half run, shuffle style walk straight to it. I probably looked like a mad women but I just got so excited. This jumper costs £12.99 and is a perfect length on me, its soft and looks so good and effortless with just a simple pair of jeans.

While I was in line to pay for the jumper my eyes landed on this shimmery silver bag, I guess I am like some kind of magpie. It is £2.99 and I thought it would be perfect for a little make up bag and would look great in my new black bag, so of course I had to say yes (I was right, It does look great).

I think my next purchase will be a pair of ripped black jeans, another jumper (you can never have to many jumpers) and a coat. If you have any suggestions of great stores or online shops, please let me know.

Hope you are all having a great autumn/fall.

My Week

I am thinking of doing weekly updates from now on, just a quick little post about my week and what I have been up to. Let me know if you like that idea and I can make it a permanent feature of my blog.

So this week has been fairly eventful, or at least for my standards it has anyway haha. For those of you who don't know I work full time, 40 hours a week. So I do spend a large portion of my life in work or in Cardiff City Centre, which is the location of my work and also the reason why I'm poor, as I work right next to all the shops. This week I had Wednesday and Thursday off, so I took a trip to Manchester to visit a friend I met while working in a Summer Camp in America this year and I had a really good time, having a few drinks and a good ol' boogie. In regards to camp, I also had an email this week asking if I would like to return to the summer camp next year to work, which really makes me miss camp! However I don't think I will be going back there, as I would like to travel Europe next summer.

I also bought a new Laptop, which I was so excited about. My last Laptop got stolen, so I was just using my Tablet to get by, then that mysteriously broke and so I was left internetless. I obviously couldn't live like that so I bought a shiny new Laptop which I now love.

For me I get paid weekly so every Friday (which is payday) I take a trip to all the shops before work, which isn't great for my bank balance, but hey you only live once, right? My first stop was H&M, which I am loving right now, they have great clothes this time of year. I am a massive fan of jumpers and H&M always seem to get it right. I will be doing a blog post soon on those purchases so keep your eyes peeled for that.

I have had gel nail polish on my nails for the last  few weeks as well and wanted to take it off to give my nails a little break, and for those of you who have had gel polish before you will know it can leave your nails pretty gross. So I tried to cover that up with a burgundy nail polish, however I still feel they look pretty hideous haha.

And that my friends is my week, I started this blog post saying I had a pretty eventful week, and now reading that all back my week actually seems pretty dull ha, so I'm not sure how interesting this blog post will actually be. But if you managed to stick it out and read that until the end, I commend you :)

Free Inside Marie Claire - L'Oocitane

I have always been a fan of Magazines that give out freebies with their latest issues, I have also always been a fan of L'Occitane hand cream, especially in the winter months when my hands get dry and sore. So when I spotted that Marie Claire were giving away L'Occitane mini hand cream in their November issue, I had a little freak out and then I immediately bought a copy.

This Magazine is great regardless and is always an enjoyable read, however I cannot say no to L'Occitane hand cream. The mini that I got was 'Zesty Lime' scent and I love the smell so much, it reminds me of limeaid. This hand cream really does work wonders, absorbs fast and really helps soften my skin. For anyone who hasn't tried this hand cream I suggest picking up Marie Claire this month, the cream comes in a wide rang of scents to suit everyone and the Magazine only costs £3.99!

Mini Lush Christmas Haul

Every Christmas Lush bring out their Limited Edition range of Christmas goodies, I had just come back from London and was feeling sleep deprived, hungover (alcohol is bad) and generally poop, so I thought I would pop into Lush to check them out in a bid to help me feel better. I am always a sucker for the Limited Edition ranges Lush bring out and I also love Christmas like no other, so combining these two things just makes me so happy.  In an ideal, unlimited money kind of work I will try all of the Christmas range before they leave the stores, but seen as I am poor and payday isn't until tomorrow I thought I would just pick up two items this time.

Candy Mountain is a bubble bar packed full of fun. It's pink and white, glittery and smells like sweets and candy. This bubble bar does exactly what it says, it packs your tub full of lovely smelling bubbles, it also turns your bath water pink! This is a nice way to jazz up a regular bath and if you like the smell of sweet things, you will love this.

Butterbear is a bath bomb, which fizzes in the water and makes your bath water feel silky smooth. This bath bomb contains Cocoa butter to help soften the skin while you soak, and has a delicate vanilla like fragrance. This is a great bath bomb for relaxing, or you can use it in your childrens baths as part of their bed time routine to help them calm down before bed. It is also one of the cheaper bath bombs at Lush, making it an affordable treat to add into your bathing experience.

If you haven't checked out their Christmas range, I strongly suggest you do before its to late.

Autumn Skincare Buys

For those of you who don't know I have just started a new job (yay) and my first pay packet has come through, which instantly means shopping!, right? I had loads of Boots reward coupons send to me recently as well, so I though I would make the most of them, and also make the most of the fact Boots are currently having a 3 for 2 across their skincare products.

I picked up a few new things to add to my skincare stash.

Botanics Super Serum Radiant Youth -  Anti-Ageing serum designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines  and wrinkles, through plant stem cell technology. It also contains Ginkgo that acts as a barrier from free radicals, to help maintain the skins collagen

Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm - A cleansing balm that contains Shea Butter, Rosehip and Jojoba Oil, to gently but effectively remove make up and dirt from the face. This cleansing balm also comes with a muslin cloth to help you remove the cleanser from the face. This product contains no Parabens and is also tested on Humans not Animals.

Clearasil Daily Clear Superfruits Refreshing Pads - I bought these on the recommendation of Caroline Hirons , the skincare goddess. They are basically a Salicylic Acid, exfoliating pad. There isn't much more to it than that.

Lush Oatifix Fresh Face Mask - This I had free with the Black Pot Recycling scheme that Lush have, its a hydrating, natural face mask that contains Oats, fresh Bananas and ground Almonds. I love all the Face Masks Lush make, especially this one because It smells like Breakfast mmmm.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - This is plain and simply a Micellar Water, which takes off make up like a dream. I have used this before and this is just a repurchase. Its £4.99 and works like a charm to take off make up (even waterproof mascara).

Botanics Ultra Calming Night Cream - This is another product from Boots Botanics that I bought, I always tend to buy calming or gentle moisturisers, simply because I seem to be a little more harsh with other aspects of my skincare, such as the acid products.  Therefore I try and get a simple but effective moisturiser to finish my skincare steps. This one seemed to tick all the right boxes for me and was also a great deal with my £5 off Botanics product coupon that I had.

I also bought these two items when I was in Boots, I feel like you can never have enough body moisturiser, especially in the colder months and I love the Garnier ones because they are affordable. I am also really lazy with my hair, in case you guys didn't know and I cant never be bothered to wash it (gross I know), so Batiste dry shampoo is always a life saver.

Yes To Cucumbers Calming Night Cream

Quoting Game Of Thrones, 'Winter is coming', and during the winter the air gets colder and my skin gets dry and sore. I always try and up my moisturising game when it gets colder here in the UK because my skin really does suffer. I bought this Yes To Cucumbers Calming Night Cream when in New York and it has been a life saver now I'm back in the UK. This product has 98% natural ingredients which I love and is Paraben and Cruelty free, which again is great.

I found this cream to be light weight but effective. I have very combination skin, sometimes it can be dry and other times really oily. I have not found a problem with this product being to heavy for me, or turning me into a grease ball. It is a very gentle moisturiser and absorbs fast into the skin. I have really enjoyed using it and I think this would be a great moisturiser for those with slightly more sensitive skin, or perhaps those on the more oily side.

Thought I did buy this in America, Boots also sell 'Yes To Cucumbers' products here
